Meet New EMFR/EMT Instructor, Noe Lopez

Meet new Emergency First Responder and Emergency Medical Technician instructor, Noe Lopez. Mr. Lopez known by his students as “Senior” has been working in Emergency Medical Services for over 35 years! Over his long tenure he has done it all from working as an EMT in an ambulance to working in an emergency room to becoming a paramedic for the LA City Fire Department. Mr. Lopez has gained specialized experience through joining the Urban Search and Rescue back in 2006 and becoming certified in Tactical Emergency Services in 2011.

After he reached the end of his career with a gracious heart, he came to the realization that all the tools he has gathered through the years should be left with the next generation of First Responders. Senior joined the SoCal ROC team for that particular purpose “to prepare and leave this EMS field better than [he] found it, with a better trained, more knowledgeable hiring pool.” Senior plans to do so by creating a classroom environment that not only teaches our students the subject matter and skills required to be a successful first responder but emphasizes the comradery, compassion, and attitude that is crucial in the field.

Our Emergency Care Pathway provides high school students and adults the skills and knowledge to become an Emergency Medical Technician at the basic level and prepare students to pass the National Registry Exam (NREMT). Working as an EMT can lead to emergency careers such as a paramedic or firefighter, and is a great stepping stone for those seeking higher level of medical training such as Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, or Physician and counts as clinical experience for students interested in applying to medical or physician assistant school.
