Media Design I: Adobe Photoshop

Are you passionate about creativity and visual storytelling? Enrolling in our Adobe Photoshop course might be the perfect next step for you! You'll get to work with industry-standard software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, ensuring you’re well-prepared for real-world projects. Not only will you learn the technical skills, but you'll also develop a keen eye for aesthetics and design principles. This comprehensive approach prepares you for a variety of career paths, from branding and advertising to web design and multimedia production.
In a fun and creative environment students will learn how to blend images together to create logo designs, corporate and brand identity designs, movie poster designs, album cover designs, graphic t-shirt designs, and character art designs. This course introduces the student to the basic skills needed to succeed as a graphic designer and prepares students to advance to our Media Design II (Illustrator) class.
The student is introduced to the various styles of type and design used throughout history. Students will create a series of typical design projects such as brochures, postcards, flyers, etc., and will be introduced to computer illustration techniques. Students will also design an online portfolio!
