Our EMFR course is a great introduction to the medical field and provides an avenue for high school students to earn their EMT certification while still in high school! 

This course offers an overview of what it is like to be first on the scene providing efficient and immediate care to ill and/or injured victims and to assist other emergency medical services providers. The emergency response training includes instruction in CPR, First Aid, an overview of the Emergency Medical Services System, anatomy and physiology, triage and post-emergency care duties, legal and ethical issues, communication skills, and stress management.

Thank you for your interest in enrolling in the SoCal ROC Emergency Medical /First Responder
program. The following is information about the program:


 Open to high school and adult students
 This course is entry level for students interested in a career in emergency
medicine
 Emergency Medical/First Responder is a prerequisite course for the Emergency Medical Technician program for high school students
 CPR skills will be taught as part of the course. However, the purchase of the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers card and handbook is optional and will cost $20.00.

Complete in 1 Semester: M/W or T/Th from 4:15pm-7:00pm
