SoCal ROC is partnering with HopSkipDrive to provide safe and reliable transportation to all students who attend a high school within one of our six partner districts which include: El Segundo, Inglewood, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes Peninsula, and Torrance. Transportation is offered during Session 02 (1:15 pm-4:00pm) and Session 03 (4:15pm-7:00pm). Students will be transported to and from their high school and SoCal ROC, at no cost to you and your child.
About HopSkipDrive?
HopSkipDrive is the leading rideshare company for kids and partners with school districts and counties to provide safe youth transportation services and allows you in real-time to track rides and receive notifications via text and the HopSkipDrive app throughout the ride providing exceptional insight into your child's trips. HopSkipDrive also ensures your child is in good hands thanks to their meticulous vetting system which includes a requirement of 5 years’ experience as a caregiver, fingerprinting, background checks, driving record checks, and in-person meetings.
How Does HopSkipDrive Work?
Step 1: SoCal ROC will schedule a trip for your child. The HopSkipDrive platform connects us with a network of highly qualified CareDrivers.
Step 2: You will receive a text message from HopSkipDrive with information on the ride and a link to download the mobile app to track your child’s ride in real-time. You will also receive status updates via text.
Step 3: In the enrollment process, you will create a code word that your rider will know. Upon pickup, CareDrivers will provide the Rider’s name and code word to verify they are the correct driver. They will also ask your Rider for their birthday.
Step 4: When it is time for your child to be picked up, have them keep an eye-out for the orange HopSkipDrive Decal in the car windshield to help identify the CareDriver upon arrival.
Step 5: You and your child will be notified via live ride text message updates when the CareDriver is on their way, when they arrive, when they depart, and when they safely reach the destination. You will also be able to track their ride on the HopSkipDrive app.
How to enroll your child in the HopSkipDrive Transportation Program?
