FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Redondo Beach Educational Foundation is partnering with SoCal ROC to provide summer Career Technical Education enrichment to local middle school students. For the first time ever, middle school students will have the opportunity to sign up for 3-week enrichment classes held at Redondo Union High School (RUHS) Campus and taught by SoCal ROC instructors! Students will explore exciting careers in Emergency Medical Services, Electrical Wiring, Adobe Photoshop, Cosmetology, Dentistry, and Creature Sculpting.
RBEF Summer Middle School Sessions will take place at 1 Sea Hawk Way, Redondo Beach, CA 90277 - RUHS from June 17th - July 3rd . Two time slots are available early morning (7:30am - 10:00am) and late morning (10:30am - 1:00pm) and students are welcome to mix and match and enroll in both sessions. Students who enroll by April 7th will receive an early bird discounted price of $350. After April 7th, the price increases to $375 per CTE Experience.
Dr. Julian Rodriguez, superintendent of SoCal ROC shares, “We are excited to partner with RBEF in offering these CTE Summer Enrichment Experiences to middle school students. The sooner students start exploring the many opportunities there are for life after high school, the better positioned they will be to make decisions about courses of study once they enter 9th grade. SoCal ROC is excited to be part of these first steps into career exploration.”
